MUSIC: Know Your Instrument

I'll be your Bartender todayI play music on my fist. I make a fist, and blow into the tightly curled hole created by the forefinger/thumb area. The music comes out of the back-end of the hole created by the pinky and the palm.

Proper musical fisting requires not only controlling the tightness of both holes, but true tonal quality by subtly relaxing or tightening my various fingers – never the thumb. You have to maintain tense thumb control. Not everyone can do it, even with practice. Proper fingering is important with any musical instrument and that’s especially true for fisting.

It’s a gift.

As I’ve just turned 50, I call my latest album, FISTING THE OLDIES, as I play public domain tunes as well as originals.

Licensing information available upon request. Reasonable rates.

My previous albums, FISTING THE A-CHORD and SING-ALONG FISTING, are still available. Also look for my upcoming concert album, LIVE: FISTING IN THE WHITEHOUSE.

You can also download individual songs at various music sites. Just search Amazon Fisting or Fisting iTunes.
